Les Menuires is ideally positioned for easy access to some of the most challenging and exciting skiing in the Trois Vallées, as well as rapid transit to Méribel, Courchevel, Val Thorens and Maurienne. At 1,850 m it's rarely short of snow from Christmas to late April. We've never been unable to ski back to our door! Les Menuires logo

The resort is compact and pedestrianised with a galleried shopping/restaurant area - so you won't be in and out of the car all the time. It's only a minute's walk to the nearest good supermarket and there's a vast choice of restaurants, all reasonably priced. Equally, ready prepared gourmet meals and Savoyarde specialities are available from any of the numerous traiteurs.

There is an open-air swimming pool (very warm!), ice rink, cinema, disco and numerous bars for late night revellers but most people seem to be here for the skiing and are too tired to stay up. Prices are generally much lower than Val Thorens, Meribel and Courchevel and the atmosphere is very laid back.

GETTING THERE

By car: It's motorway all the way from Calais to Moutiers, which is at the start of the 27km ascent by mountain road to Les Menuires. The journey from Calais to the resort takes about 8-9 hours.

By plane: The nearest main airports are Lyon and Geneva, which are both about a 2 hour car journey away. British Airways operate a regular daily service into both and EasyJet fly into Geneva. We recommend hiring a car for transport to the resort as it's not much more costly than the bus service and much more convenient.

By train: The Snowtrain runs direct from London, Waterloo to Moutiers every Friday evening, arriving early on Saturday morning. A regular coach service runs from the rail station in Moutiers to Les Menuires (about half an hour journey time). For full information and Snowtrain bookings go to www.eurostar.co.uk. Please note that reservations must also be made in advance for the coach to Les Menuires. The best way to do this is to visit their web site at www.altibus.com.
